Your data is collected by Wine with Margot. Personal data means: any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. We only process personal data that is necessary for the correct delivery of our services and the performance of an appointment or agreement to which you, as a client of Wine with Margot, are a party.
We process your personal data for the following purposes:
The personal data we may process:
When you sign up for the Wine with Margot newsletter, we ask for personal data: your name and email address. This data is used to deliver the service. Without your email address, we naturally cannot send you a newsletter. Our newsletter is sent via Substack, an email and publishing platform that maintains the database of subscriber addresses. By subscribing to the Wine with Margot newsletter, you are added to that database. Substack registers who opens the emails and when, and clicks on links in emails can also be measured. More information can be found in Substack's own privacy policy.
Opt-out: unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the newsletter.
If you request a discovery call, the short intake form runs on Tally, a form service. The details you fill in (name, email address, company or brand name and your answers about your situation) are used to prepare and conduct the call and are stored in our client administration for that purpose. Calls take place via Google Meet. If you use the contact form on this website, your message is delivered to us by our website platform, Shopify.
Wine with Margot is always ready to help when you have a question. If you send Wine with Margot an email, we may keep those messages for as long as needed to help you properly.
There is no comment section on this website. The conversation about articles takes place on Substack, where Substack's own privacy policy applies.
We use cookies that intrude on your privacy as little as possible. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer, tablet or smartphone during your first visit to this website. The cookies we use are necessary for the technical operation of the website and your ease of use. They make sure the website works properly and remember, for example, your preferences.
This website runs on Shopify and only sets cookies that are necessary for the technical operation of the website, such as security, session and preference cookies. We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics cookies. That is also why you do not see a cookie pop-up here: there is nothing to ask consent for. Visitor statistics are measured in aggregated, privacy-friendly form through Shopify's own statistics and Google Search Console, which do not place tracking cookies on your device. Should this ever change, this statement will be updated and consent will be asked where the law requires it.
It is up to you whether you allow the use of cookies. Most browsers accept cookies by default, but you can also refuse or delete them via your browser settings. The website may then not work as well.
Under the GDPR, everyone has the right to access, rectify or erase their personal data, to restrict the processing concerning them, to object to processing, and the right to data portability. You can exercise these rights by contacting us at sip [at] winewithmargot.com.
Every such request must be accompanied by a copy of a valid identity document on which you have placed your signature, stating the address at which you can be contacted. Please cover your photo and citizen service number (BSN) on the copy; we do not need them. You will receive a response to your request within one month. Depending on the complexity and the number of requests, this period may be extended by two months if necessary.
Your personal data is kept for as long as it is needed to deliver our services correctly, with due observance of the statutory retention periods.
For questions, product information or information about our services or this privacy statement, you can email: sip [at] winewithmargot.com.
