Questions? Good.

The things clients actually ask, answered the way I would answer them on a call. Is yours not here? Ask it directly.

Is this for me?

If you make, import, sell or write about wine, and the selling part online is not going the way it should: yes. My clients are wineries, importers, retailers, wine writers and wine businesses that are serious about growing, whether that is your first export market or your first thousand newsletter subscribers. You do not need to be big. You need to want it to work.

Not sure? That is literally what the free discovery call is for. Thirty minutes, no pitch, and an honest answer, including “you do not need me for this.”

I’m not very digital. Is that a problem?

No. It is closer to the opposite: this is exactly who most of my systems are built for. Some of the best wine businesses out there are run by people who started a decade behind on the online part. That is usually why they call.

Everything gets explained in plain language: no jargon, no assuming you know what a funnel is. Boards and systems are set up for you and handed over at your pace, and you never have to learn a tool alone. The only thing you need to bring is wanting it to work.

Do you work internationally, and in which languages?

Internationally, yes. Everything runs digital: calls on Google Meet, one shared Notion board, and time zones have never been a problem. Wine is a global trade and so is this work; my clients range from Austria to Armenia.

Languages, the honest version: English and Dutch, one hundred percent, for strategy, copy and coaching. German, French, Italian and Spanish I understand well enough to work with, and I can deliver moderate text in them with AI translation as the engine and always an extra set of eyes on it before anything goes live. For publishing-grade copy in those four, we plan that check in from the start.

How does a project start?

Every project starts with a free 30-minute discovery call on Google Meet. You answer a handful of short questions beforehand, so we can spend the call on your situation instead of the basics. We work out together what you actually need before anything is proposed or priced. Then you get a clear quote, and nothing starts until you say yes.

How do we communicate during a project?

Three channels, each with its own job. A shared Notion board holds all the content that goes back and forth, so nothing lives in seventeen email threads and you always know where things stand. Email is for decisions and documents. WhatsApp is for the quick stuff. You will never have to wonder where that one file went.

Why Notion?

Because projects die in inboxes. Notion gives us one shared board where all the work lives: what is done, what is in review, and what is waiting on who. You see the same board I see, so you never have to ask “where are we?” You can just look.

Nothing to install and nothing to pay for on your side: it runs in your browser, and feedback happens right next to the work instead of in a separate email thread. Give it ten minutes and you will know your way around, even if you have never heard of Notion before.

Do you work with AI?

Loudly and proudly, yes. This website was built by me and Claude Code AI, and that same partnership runs through my daily work. I love working with AI, and I see no reason to hide it: AI is why I move fast. I am why the work is good. The strategy, the taste, the wine knowledge and every final word are mine. AI does the heavy lifting underneath.

A concrete example: your Notion project board. We shape it completely to your liking, your structure, your labels, your way of working, because AI does most of the building for us. You get a board that fits your business like a glove, in the time a standard template used to take. That is the deal with AI here: it never replaces the thinking. It speeds up the making.

Where are my files and documents kept?

All your documents and files are stored in OneDrive, in a secured environment, for as long as we work together. Organised, backed up, and findable, also six months later when you need that one version back.

How do you handle passwords and logins?

Carefully, because your accounts are your business. Everything on my side is protected with passwords of sixteen characters or more, and any social handles or credentials you share with me go straight into a password vault, not into a note or an inbox.

And one house rule that matters: a login and its password never travel through the same channel. One comes by email, the other by WhatsApp, for example. So even if one message ever fell into the wrong hands, it opens nothing.

What does it cost?

Every price is public, on the What We Offer page. No “ask for quote”, no surprises: the price you see is the price you pay. If extra work comes up along the way, it only happens after we have agreed on it together, never as a surprise on the invoice.

How long does a project take?

The honest answer: that depends completely on what comes out of the discovery call. Some things are done within a week. Others, like a website build, take about a month. And coaching explains itself: there the process is the timeline, three or twelve months, together.

Whatever we agree on, your quote comes with its own concrete timeline before anything starts. No open-ended projects, no drifting deadlines. The making goes fast here, because AI is the engine and I work focused. What usually sets the tempo is the deciding: your feedback, your input, your yes. The Notion board keeps that visible for both of us, so a project never quietly stalls without us both seeing where and why.

Can you guarantee results?

No. And you should run from anyone in this business who says yes. Algorithms, rankings and buyers all have minds of their own; no honest strategist promises to control them.

What I do guarantee: we agree before we start what success looks like, in numbers, so progress is visible instead of a feeling. You get honest read-outs of what worked and what did not. And if I do not believe I can help you, I tell you on the free call, before you have spent a cent.

Do you also build on WordPress, Wix or Squarespace?

WordPress, yes. Wix and Squarespace, no. I work with two platforms by choice, Shopify and WordPress, the ones I know inside out. For most wine businesses Shopify is the natural home, where shop, story and checkout live in one place; when WordPress is the better fit, I build there too. More about the website builds here.

Do you also run advertising campaigns?

No, ads are not on my menu. Everything I build is organic by design: a website that gets found, content that builds authority, a newsletter you own, and you getting freakin’ good at your own channels. Rented attention stops the day you stop paying. Owned channels compound.

If you do want to run ads on top of what I build, that’s a conversation for the call.
